The synchromesh ring ensures smooth gear changes by matching the speed of the gear before the gears engage. This ring gradually wears out with normal use and will show noticeably more play when it's time for replacement. This item fits the 1st - 2nd - 3rd - and 4th gears of the 091 and 094 gearbox (OEM 091 311 295A). Combine it with new selector sleeves and gears for a complete gearbox overhaul.
