The synchromesh ring is located in your gearbox and ensures smooth shifting between 3rd and 4th gear - without having to match engine speeds. After decades of wear - this part deteriorates - resulting in jerky or hard shifting. This is the replacement part (113 311 295D) for T1 - T2 - Type 3 and Karmann Ghia. Combine it with a complete syncro set to breathe new life into your entire gearbox.
