This synchro ring ensures smooth - crunch-free shifting between first and second gear. It's a wear part that loses its grip over the years - so if your shifting feels grindy or hesitant - this is likely the culprit. Suitable replacement part 113 311 269B - fits T1 - T2 - Type 3 - Karmann Ghia - and Type 181. Combine this with a full synchronizer set to ensure your transmission performs to factory standards again.
