The synchro ring ensures smooth shifting into 3rd and 4th gear without grinding in your gearbox. This replacement part (OEM 113 309 295) wears out due to frequent shifting and is a common replacement during transmission overhauls. If you have the gearbox out anyway - it is best to replace this ring immediately. Combine this ring with new synchronizers and labyrinth rings for a fully assured shifting mechanism.
