The front gearbox mount (OEM 113 301 265E) absorbs vibrations and holds the gearbox in place. After decades - the rubber hardens and becomes prone to cracking - which manifests as rattling and sloshing sounds under the dashboard. This original silent block will restore that tight - quiet fit as intended by VW. Combine this with the rear silent blocks for a complete chassis overhaul.
