This reinforced silent block is located at the rear of your gearbox and dampens vibrations that occur during shifting. On older VWs, the original rubber mounts slowly wear out, which you notice by more play in the gearbox and a loose feeling in the gearstick. This heavy-duty version (OEM 211 301 263 / 113 301 263) lasts significantly longer and ensures tighter shifting. Combine this with the front silent block for the complete mounting kit, and you'll have a firm, direct connection again.
