This torque bolt firmly secures your CV joint to the driveshaft - featuring the characteristic 12-point head that can be gripped with the correct wrench without slipping. The original VW number 113 501 229C ensures you have precisely the right part for T2 up to T3 - the Beetle - and your Karmann Ghia. Tighten it to the correct torque - and you are assured of a reliable connection that won't come loose. Combine this with a new lock washer and grease for a complete repair.
