This bump stop is located at the top of your front suspension and absorbs shocks when the suspension is fully compressed. With a height of 40mm, this is the original profile for your Type 3, part OEM 311 401 275. After decades, the rubber becomes brittle and loses its damping, leading to hard bumps and poor wheel suspension. Combine this with the lower bump stop for complete suspension maintenance.
