The nut that holds the rear axle in place is found on every T1 and Karmann Ghia, but anyone attempting repairs without this part will encounter problems. This is the original castle nut (111 501 221) you need if you're disassembling the axle for maintenance or replacement. After assembly, you insert a cotter pin through it, so make sure you also have that in stock.
