The rear axle of your Beetle or Karmann Ghia is held in place by this nut, OEM quality part number 311 501 221. This is a castle nut that is secured with a split pin, so make sure to replace both parts when working on the rear axle. We have this nut in various sizes; please combine it with a new split pin and wheel bearing repair kit for a complete renewal of your rear axle.
