VW T1 Bus | Upper outer bearing in reduction gear - Type 2 -07/67 | 211 501 285
This upper outer bearing (OEM 211 501 285) is located in the reduction box of your Type 2 and ensures that the output shaft rotates smoothly without play. The bearing wears out due to normal wear and vibrations - so check it when you are in the box for maintenance anyway. Replace it along with the lower bearing and the differential chains for a complete overhaul.
