VW T1, Beetle, KG | Seal ring bearing cover 'swing' | 111 501 139
This rubber sealing ring sits between the bearing cover and the rear axle, preventing lubricating oil from leaking. It's a small part that's easy to overlook, but without a good seal, you'll quickly have a leaky rear axle. VW used this ring on T1, Type 3, Karmann Ghia, and Type 181 models. Combine this with fresh rear axle oil and a new screw for the bearing cover while you're at it.
