This coupler connects your shift rod to the gearbox - ensuring your shifting movements are perfectly transmitted. The replacement part 211 711 169 is robust but wears out after years of use - especially if you drive a lot. A worn coupler causes play in the shifting and can even come loose while driving. Combine this with a new gearbox seal for a complete gearbox overhaul.
