This metal bushing (OEM 131 401 313) is located in the front axle and ensures your steering operates smoothly without play. Over time - these bushings wear out due to constant movement - which can make your steering feel more sensitive or rattle. For a Beetle - Karmann Ghia - or Type 181 - this is a must-have replacement part if you want to restore steering precision. Combine this with a new steering bearing - and your front axle will feel like new.
