VW Beetle - KG | Front Axle Bearing - bottom | 08/65- -Type 3 | 311 401 301C
The lower front axle bearing (OEM 311 401 301C) is located in the front axle and supports the weight of your vehicle. This needle bearing wears out over the years due to sand and moisture - so replacement is necessary when you're overhauling the front axle. Please note: this is truly a part where you need a delicate touch during installation – position it at an angle and check that it rotates smoothly. Combine this with the upper front axle bearing - and your front axle will be as good as new.
