This steering column bearing ensures your steering column turns smoothly without play. The bearing sits between the steering column and the chassis - so you'll feel any wear directly in the steering wheel. VW uses three variants (113 415 585A - 587A and 589A) depending on the year of manufacture of your Beetle. Combine this with a new steering coupling or steering worm for a fully maintained steering system.
