This grommet ensures that the steering column passes through the chassis waterproof and dust-free - which is crucial - especially on the Super Beetle - for maintaining interior quality. The original rubber (OEM 113 415 607B) ages and tears over the years - leading to drafts from under the hood and dust in your car. A new one will restore dignity to your steering box and prevent further water ingress into the chassis. Combine this with a new steering box bearing - and your steering will be completely refreshed.
