This grommet is located where the steering column passes through the firewall and prevents water and dirt from entering your vehicle. In a T1 or Karmann Ghia - this part is often hardened or torn - leading to drafts in the cabin. The OEM number 111 415 607 ensures you have exactly the right profile for a perfect fit. Combine this with a new steering shaft bearing - and your entire steering column will be in order.
