This grommet is located at the top of your steering column where it passes through the dashboard - ensuring that water and dirt cannot enter. On T1 Beetles and Karmann Ghias - these rubber grommets are often hardened or cracked - leading to drafts and moisture problems in the car. VW part number 111 415 603 fits perfectly as an original replacement. Combine this with a new steering column bearing at the bottom for a complete fix.
