This seal sits on top of your steering box and prevents oil from leaking down the steering column. With OEM number 111 415 285A - this is the original quality you need to prevent leaks. You can recognize worn rings by stains under the hood or a looser steering box. Combine this with some fresh steering boot filling and your steering box will be properly sealed again.
