This seal keeps the grease in your front wheel bearing where it belongs and keeps dust out. The original Volkswagen seal (211 405 641A) wears out over the years - leading to dried-up bearings and rusty hubs. If you disassemble the wheel bearings for maintenance - now is the time to install a fresh seal. Combine this with a new wheel bearing and some quality grease for a complete restoration.
