Over time - these bearings wear out due to constant rotation and load - which can manifest as play or even rattling in your wheel. The original VW number 111 405 645A assures you that you have the correct size for a precise fit. Combine this bearing with the corresponding inner wheel bearing and always replace them together - so that both have an equivalent lifespan.
