This stop screw holds your kingpin in place and prevents it from spinning out of the stub axle. The component should be tightened to a maximum of 25 Nm - so do not overtighten. OEM number 211 405 543 fits universally on air-cooled Volkswagens. Combine this with a new kingpin and link pins for a complete overhaul of your front axle.
