This pressed silent block is located where the suspension arm attaches to the front axle beam, providing necessary play and damping. Over time, they wear out due to constant shaking and turning, which results in play in the wheel suspension and erratic steering. This replacement part (OEM 133 407 183) fits directly in place of the worn original. Combine this with the corresponding outer silent block if you are overhauling the entire suspension arm.
