The rubber buffer with clips for the upper suspension ball joint (OEM 131 405 375A) ensures that the ball and socket joint can move smoothly without play. This rubber element dampens vibrations and prevents the ball joint from hitting directly against the frame. For T1 and Karmann Ghias with original suspension geometry, this part is essential if you notice that the front axle rattles or hops. Combine this with a new ball joint set if you're already working on the suspension.
