This upper suspension ball joint (OEM 131 405 361F) is located in the front suspension of your T1 or Karmann Ghia and ensures that your front wheel can steer smoothly and move with the suspension. It is a wearing part that can develop play - especially in older material - which manifests as noticeable play in the steering wheel or a rough feeling in turns. Always replace these ball joints in pairs and check the lower ball joint as well - otherwise you will encounter the same problems.
