This steering damper absorbs vibrations and shocks in the steering mechanism - which is especially noticeable on bumpy roads and at higher speeds. With OEM number 113 425 021L - you're good to go for T1 - Karmann Ghia - and Type 181. You'll feel a worn damper directly in the steering wheel - so check this part if you feel steering looseness or excessive vibration. Combine this with a new tie rod end and tie rods for optimal steering response.
