VW T3 Bus | Rear backplate - right | 05/79-07/92 | 251 609 426D
The backing plate on the right side of your T3 brakes is located between the drum and the brake shoes and prevents them from bending outwards. This replacement part (251 609 426D) wears down along with your braking system and can cause play or irregular braking after years of use. It is best to replace it immediately during a brake service - especially if you already have the drums off. Combine this with a complete brake shoe set and new brake drums for a solid rear braking system.
