This backing plate sits behind your brake drum on the right side and holds your brake shoes in place. For T2a and T2b - this part (211 609 426L) is essential for safe braking. Worn or damaged backing plates can cause play and negatively affect your braking performance. We recommend combining this with new brake shoes and cylinders for a complete brake service.
