The right rear brake backing plate (113 609 440) sits between your brake drum and the rear wheel housing - holding the brake shoes and cylinder in place. On T1 Beetles - this plate frequently comes loose or gets damaged - leading to play in the brake assembly and wear on your brakes. A solid part is therefore essential for reliable rear braking. Combine this part with the left rear brake backing plate for a complete set.
