The brake drum is located on the rear axle and contains the brake shoes. Replace this drum if it shows wear or play. This is the original VW version (111 501 615) for the Beetle - T1 - and Karmann Ghia. Combine this with new brake shoes and a wheel cylinder for a complete rear brake overhaul.
