This rubber seal sits under the cap of your brake fluid reservoir and prevents moisture from escaping or entering. After years - the rubber becomes hard and porous - leading to brake fluid leaks or moisture absorption - which can damage your brake system. The replacement part 113 611 399C is inexpensive and easy to replace during maintenance. Combine this with a new reservoir if yours is rusty or damaged.
