This rubber is located under the brake pedal arm in your pedal assembly and ensures that the brake switch makes proper contact when you press the brake pedal. After years - the rubber can harden or wear out - causing your brake lights to malfunction. This original 111 945 521 rubber fits the 2-pin brake switch of Type 3 - Karmann Ghia - Type 181 - and Type 4. Combine this with a new brake switch itself if you're already working on it.
