The right-hand handbrake rod (OEM 311 609 632) supports your handbrake pedal and ensures the mechanism remains taut. This component wears out due to years of movement and often becomes stiff or doesn't spring back properly. Replacement is straightforward and will make your handbrake responsive again. Combine this with the left side for a complete overhaul of your brake control.
