The left handbrake rod transmits the force from your handbrake lever to the brake cylinder block - ensuring both rear wheels are braked equally. In a T2a or Type 181 - this rod wears out after years of use - leading to a weak or uneven handbrake. This replacement part (211 609 631B) restores your braking performance to factory standards. Combine this with new brake hoses and brake cylinders for a complete brake overhaul.
