This heating hose (113 255 355C) transports heat from the engine to the heater in your dashboard, and is an essential part for all T1 models and Karmann Ghias from August 1964 onwards. The hose is prone to cracking and leaking after decades in the engine compartment, so replacement is a logical maintenance point when you're already in the area. Combine this with a new thermostat and hose kit for a complete heating system.
