This heater hose (OEM 028 129 087A) transports heat from your heat exchanger to the fan housing for heating. The cardboard insulation prevents heat loss and protects surrounding components from excessive heat. For T1 - T2a - T2b - Karmann Ghia - and Type 181. Combine this with a new heat exchanger and your heating will work as it should again.
