This copper gasket (025 251 261 / 021 251 261) ensures a watertight seal between the exhaust manifold and heat exchanger on T2a - T2b - T3 - and Type 4 engines. Due to vibrations and heat - it gradually wears out - so replacement is part of any maintenance where you're already there. Combine this part with a new exhaust mounting kit to properly complete the job in one go.
