The cold start lever for D and TD engines is a simple but essential part for reliable cold starts. This original Volkswagen lever (251 711 503) is located on the carburetor and gives you direct control over the choke flap. If your lever is loose or no longer moves properly - you will notice it immediately when starting in winter. Combine this with a new choke rod and throttle speed settings for optimal starting performance.
