This inner panel protects the mechanical components of your rear wheel from dirt and splash water, while also housing the wiring to your taillights. For T2a and T2b, this right side is a tricky replacement if you've incurred rust or damage. The panel is hidden between the fender and wheel arch, so you don't see it, but you'll notice if it's missing. Combine this with the left side for a fully protected rear wheel arch.
