The drain pipe in the headlight bucket (OEM 141 941 147) looks simple, but it prevents rainwater from accumulating in your headlight. Without this pipe, you'll get condensation and eventually corrosion on your reflector and contacts. The tube is easy to replace and is standard on T1, Type 3, Karmann Ghia and Type 181. Combine this with a set of new headlight rubbers to completely seal your headlight watertight.
