This outer window scraper with trim is located on the outside of your Karmann Ghia window and prevents water and dirt from getting stuck between the glass and the rubber. The replacement part (OEM 143 837 471) is mounted on the left side and makes your windows waterproof while also providing a neat finish. Because these parts are regularly exposed to the elements, they wear out over time and start to creak. Combine this with the inner window trims for a complete restoration project.
