This sealing ring sits around the lock cylinder in your sliding door and prevents water and dirt from entering. Over the years - the rubber can dry out and crack - causing your door to leak and become drafty. The replacement part 281 843 718A is easy to replace and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Combine this with a new lock cylinder - and your door will close tightly again.
