This rubber seal ring sits under the exterior of the sliding door handle and prevents water and dirt from entering past the handle. Over time - the rubber becomes hard and messy - so replacement is advisable if you want to keep your doors completely dry. Newly manufactured for T2a and T2b under OEM number 211 843 713A. Combine this with the seal ring above the handle for a completely waterproof result.
