This rubber ring (OEM 111 813 705A) keeps your engine block in place and prevents vibrations from spreading through the chassis. After decades - the rubber can become hardened and cracked - which becomes noticeable in extra vibrations and wear on other parts. Replace it along with the other engine mounts for the best result.
