These rubbers are centrally located between the rear axle and the chassis of your Type 3 - both top and bottom. They dampen vibrations and keep the axle neatly in position - so when they are hardened or torn - you'll immediately notice it in the handling. OEM number 311 705 683. Combine these with the side rubbers for a complete rear axle suspension.
