This rubber shock pad sits between the body and the chassis at the rear, damping vibrations and noise during driving. The original VW part 311 899 135A has hardened or worn out on many Type 3 models, resulting in more noise and a harsher ride. Replace it as part of a larger rear maintenance, or combine it with the front variant for a complete quieter riding vehicle.
