This rubber seal sits between the taillight lens and the body part of your Beetle - preventing water and dirt from entering. After decades - the rubber hardens and becomes porous - causing moisture to accumulate in your taillight and your contacts to rust. With this original part number 111 945 235B - you fully restore the waterproof connection. Combine this with a new taillight lens and your front will be completely fine again.
