VW Beetle | Taillight bulb holders (2x BA15d), heart taillight | 111 945 161B + 111 945 162B

These original bulb holders (111 945 161B and 111 945 162B) are located in the heart-shaped taillights of your Beetle and T1 and hold your BA15d bulbs in place. They are susceptible to corrosion and poor contacts, especially if you haven't driven for a long time. Replace them along with new bulbs and possibly the contact springs if they have become too loose. Combine this with fresh BA15d bulbs and contact cleaner, and your taillights will shine brightly again as they should.
