This small steel mounting pin is located in your handbrake lever and ensures the entire mechanism is securely fastened. After decades, this pin can become loose or rust, resulting in a wobbly brake or difficult operation. VW used OEM number 113 711 341 for all classic air-cooled models. Replacement takes a matter of minutes and should actually be part of any handbrake lever overhaul, so combine this directly with a new rubber handbrake lever cover.
